The 6 Best Sports Cars Of 2017

No one can resist admiring these jewels of engineering, as there is no other for the ‘small’ inconvenience of fortune that it costs to take them to your garage; We talk about Honda, Mercedes, Porsche and Ferrari.
The 6 best sports cars of 2017

Designed for speed lovers, for  those who dream of owning a ‘racing’ car and being able to drive it on public roads. Models to all luxury; It is one of the most specific automotive segments, where innovation in search of maximum performance is everything. What are the best sports cars of 2017?

Mercedes-AMG Project One

This supercar has a hybrid motorization. It is made up of a 1.6-liter supercharged V6 mechanics, combined with four electric motors to deliver no less than 1 000 hp.

Its cabin has been designed with a view to functionality. Among other things, it is designed to be lightweight and, at the same time, look as close to a Formula 1 car as possible.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One was recently presented at the latest edition of the International Motor Show in Germany, held in Frankfurt from September 14 to 24. Only 275 units will be produced, which will be sold for a price of 2.25 million euros.

Those with the financial muscle to add one to their personal collection should know that their fossil combustion engine is designed to run for just 50,000 kilometers.  Covering this distance, the car must be sent to service for reconditioning; to tell the truth, it does not seem that whoever buys it is going to use it on a daily basis.

Porsche, twice

Two models of the German automaker are included in the list. The first of them corresponds to a ‘classic’ that could not be missed because it never fails: it is the Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.

It has its traditional 3.8-liter boxer engine which, with turbocharging, achieves 607 hp. This data alone is enough to include this German machine among the best sports cars of 2017. With this engine it only needs 2.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h and less than 10 seconds to reach 200 km / h. Some features that we could consider suitable for high competition.

It reached dealerships in mid-2017. However,  only 500 units were made, each with an identification number plate. Pure and simple exclusivity, without a doubt.

The other outstanding Porsche that leaves the 2017, is an atypical model within the range of cars of the house based in Stuttgart. It is the Panamera Sport Turismo.

The ‘atypical’ of this car is given because, in appearance, it looks more like a station wagon than a typical sports car. And it is that it is a large vehicle, with no less than 5.05 meters in length, five doors and space for 4 passengers, plus an additional space for children, located in the center of the row of rear seats.

However, appearances are deceiving. This ‘family’ saloon has four engine options,  including two hybrid models, which combine turbo engines with electric technology. The powers offered start from 330 to a surprising 680 hp, available in the highest-end version, the Turbo S E-Hybrid.

Ferrari is also worth two

Just as German companies always stand out, among the best sports cars of 2017 are two models from the legendary Maranello automaker.

The first of these is a car whose name could not be more eloquent: it is the Ferrari 812 Superfast. It is the first car of the plow-horse company to have electronic power steering.

A classic for the most purists: V12 6.5 naturally aspirated engine with 800 hp, located in the center-front position.

It uses a traditional naturally aspirated engine (most sports cars have turbocharged mechanics), a 6.5-liter V12 – located in the center-front position – and 800 hp,  capable of developing a top speed of over 340 km / h ; and achieve 0-100 km / h in 2.9 seconds.

It is an update of the famous F12 Berlinetta, since it is part of the same platform. The inclusion of the steering rear axle from the F12 Berlinetta Tour de France stands out;  and it also adds modern elements such as full LED headlights or square lights in the rear.

The second Ferrari on the list is a Gran Turismo model.  This, unlike the 812, if you use a turbocharged engine: it is the GTC4Lusso T.

Designed as a successor to another Italian automaker legend, the Ferrari FF, it  takes just 3.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h. It is capable of reaching a top speed of 320 km / h.

Best sports cars of 2017: the Asian revolution

The sports car segment has long since ceased to be the exclusive territory of European companies. Germans, Italians and British have had to make room for models from Japan, and the future seems to go in that direction.

Best Sports Cars of 2017: Honda NSX
The Honda NSX has a 550 hp V6 biturbo hybrid 4 × 4 drive.

Among the best sports cars of 2017 stands out one that arrived from Tokyo, although it was assembled in the United States. This is the Honda NSX,  whose first generation of this model already stood out while it was on sale in the 90s. Now it has a 550 hp V6 biturbo hybrid engine and 4 × 4 traction.
