Lamborghini Aventador S

Since 2011 the spearhead model of the Sant’Agate Bologese-based manufacturer has been the Lamborghini Aventador. Since 2017 the update of the same, known as Lamborghini Aventador S, more capable in every way, is available.

Despite ruling out the signature of the ‘bull’ to reassemble a V12, the Lamborghini Aventador S is not the last natural V12 of the brand, an honor that falls on its sporty and limited SVJ version.

Exterior design

At the design level, the aesthetic changes made do not go beyond updated front and rear and new sets of wheels. However, all the changes introduced improve the car’s aerodynamics, offering a greater compromise between drag and load efficiency at high speeds.

The fact that aerodynamics have marked the design of the new Lamborghini Aventador S does not mean that the designers could not show off far from it. On the contrary, the excuse of improving airflow has opened the door to more personal and sophisticated designs ; in short, unique.

As usual, the elaborate exterior design of this exquisite sports car is a perfect basis for the garish and striking colors that the brand offers as standard. However, as with all prestigious brands, a customization program is offered with which the customer can order their Lamborghini made to measure, just like the McLaren MSO.

Interior design

Its refined interior has improved both the perceived quality and the quality of the materials used. Nappa leather and carbon fiber go hand in hand in a cabin inspired by that of a fighter jet, combining sporty and technological elements with Italian luxury.

All you have to do is look at the starter button cover, the digital instrument cluster or the elaborate shapes of the seats. Few will be able to say that they do not want to sit in an interior like this, which is also complemented by the most unique access: vertically opening doors.

As we said, the Lamborghini Aventador S equips the latest version of the house’s naturally aspirated V12 engine that is combined with the latest technologies to offer outstanding performance. Thanks to the LDVA and LDS, the Italian sports car has intelligent all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and active Formula 1-like suspensions.

All steering and suspension work is complemented by Pirelli P Zero tires in 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 sizes to maximize grip and improve cornering performance. It is not the first time that Lamborghuini opts for this configuration, as it was previously seen in the Lamborghini Centenario.

If you still need even more strength and radical behavior there are the Lamborghini Aventador SV and more recently, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

Prices

It’s hard to believe how much a Lamborghini Aventador S costs once we are lucky enough to see one parked or on the road. With a starting price of 382,200 euros, there will hardly be units that with extra equipment do not enter the next hundred thousand. For its part, the Spyder version is offered from 425,800 euros.
