Learn About The VEA Plan For Buying A Car
Alternative fuels are entering the market by leaps and bounds, and although we all understand that they benefit the environment, the high cost of the vehicles that use them makes us have to take other alternatives when buying a car. The VEA plan has come to change this.
The arrival of new fuels
It began by introducing cars that run on electricity in developed countries, but for infrastructure and economic reasons, in Spain for example, the sale of these only accounted for 0.14% in relation to traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles.
The main reason was the cost of the vehicle, which as a general rule used to double the same model in the gasoline version, and a little less in the diesel version.
The other big problem has to do with the lack of electrical charging points where you can refuel. If a car has a range of 180 kilometers, but the closest charging point during your journey is 190 kilometers, there is already a serious problem, right?
On the other hand, after these came the cars that run on gas. The biggest problem in the beginning was the high price of the vehicles, although this is still a problem today. And the second, that not all gas stations gave the option of refueling with gas. The latter has already been fixed.
The VEA plan arrives to motivate the sale of cars
Given that the biggest problem that arises for people to start buying vehicles with alternative fuels is the price of the car, plans by the Government came to try to solve it.
We learned about the Movea plan and also the Movalt, but many described them as insufficient and the truth is that sales did not skyrocket for them either.
Well, now comes the VEA plan that aims to cover all cars with alternative fuels, such as electric, with compressed and liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas or better known as LPG.
It will also include plug-in hybrids and hybrids. The truth is that in the long run, car engines will suffer less, so your car will last longer and having a hybrid will allow you to play with the fuels as you like. In case one day gasoline and diesel disappear, you could continue using the same car.
These can be advantages that benefit us in the long term, but we must not forget that the most important reason to participate in the initiative to buy an alternative fuel car must be to take care of the Earth and the Environment, in order to leave a future better to our children and grandchildren.
What is the VEA plan?
These are aid and subsidies that come from the general budget of the State, more specifically the figure of 0.6% of this, in order to encourage the sale of electric vehicles and fuels that do not harm the environment such as gases. Motorcycles will also be included in these vehicles.
The grants can range from 500 to 18,000 euros depending on the model, the holder’s situation and also their circumstances.
It is estimated that a part of this budget will go to these grants, specifically about 17 million euros, while 33 million will be used to create the necessary infrastructure to serve these cars. That is to say, implant charging points for example.
Although it was estimated that the VEA plan would begin in June 2018, the bells have not yet rung, so it seems that things are somewhat stopped, but surely before we know it they surprise us with good news.
