The Dacia Dokker is a mini van manufactured by the Romanian company of the Renault Group. It went on sale in 2012 and features a cargo version called the Dokker Van. Among its rival cars are the Renault Kangoo, Peugeot Partner, Opel Combo, Volkswagen Caddy and many more in the segment.

This Dacia car continues with the low cost philosophy. They are based on simple, functional models and with the necessary equipment, at much lower prices than other brands.

Under this vision, the DacĂ­a Dokker Van is inspired by self-employed professionals, merchants or artisans who need a car with space to transport their goods.

In the front part it has a quite aesthetic design headlights and not very elongated. In the middle, you can see a grille with the Dacia shield in the center and two small lights at the ends of the bumper.

On the side there is a sliding door – optional for both sides of the car – for the entry of passengers or cargo that does not require a large space to deposit it inside the car.

If you talk about the Dokker, it will have windows and the Dokker Van will only have the silhouette on the body. At the rear, the headlights will be at each end of the car and it will feature a split hatch; the Dokker Van can include glass or be completely sealed.

Inside, a very simple design is what defines it. It is made up of a very simple board, in which the air conditioning outlets are mostly observed. Its multimedia system is a seven-inch screen with LG Media Nav system, radio, Bluetooth telephony, MP3 player and USB connection.

As for the safety equipment, it includes ABS brakes, SAFE emergency braking assistant and, optionally, ESC stability control system. And, of course, the regulatory airbags for passenger safety.

Following  Dacia’s low cost line  , with respect to equipment, it has everything necessary to make the car acceptably safe. It also has air conditioning, practically essential today.

Motorization and bodywork

Currently, this car can be purchased with two gasoline engines: a  1.6-liter 85 hp and a 1.6-liter 100 hp. Meanwhile, the diesel version is made up of a single 1.5 ‘dCi’ engine with a power of 75 and 90 horsepower. The Stepway version of the Dacia Dokker has a 115 hp 1.2 TCe engine.

The Dacia Dokker has five seats and has a  fairly spacious 800-liter boot. On the other hand, the Dokker Van, by dispensing with the seats, has a load capacity of 3,300 liters and, by removing the passenger seat, it reaches 3,900 liters.

Simplicity has a lot to offer

This van has its charms. It is almost an all-rounder without the need for four-wheel drive. Ideal for rural roads and to transport loads wherever you need them.

Dacia is encompassing the market for people who need a car to drive them to and from them. It is undeniable that including this model in its range of low-cost cars has been a great success.

Quite spacious and extremely attractive in design, this is a car to be reckoned with. With its quality features at a low price it is more than you could ask for.
