BMW Z4: the attractive German roadster

The German brand offered a model that is out of the ordinary within its range. The BMW Z4 is a two-seater roadster ideal for sporty driving in a summery environment. This type of vehicle is made to be enjoyed, and BMW comes out of its famous saloons and SUVs, such as the 5 Series, the X3 or the M3, to offer an interesting model.

Exterior design of the BMW Z4

The most striking feature of the Z4’s exterior is its endless nose. The low position the driver is in further accentuates the length of this front part. In addition, the length of the vehicle stands out due to its low height, of only 1.30 meters.

At this front you can see the aerodynamic character of the Z4’s design. The headlights continue in the line of the German manufacturer, with a position of ‘angel eyes’, elongated and inclined to the side. The latest variant of this sports car has added LED technology to these lights.

As for the front lines, its angled and powerful appearance stands out. These shapes extend beyond the front end and extend throughout the vehicle, providing coherence to the overall design.

Next he turns his eye to the side of the BMW Z4, where a steep drop towards the front can be found. This design touch is already common in other models of the brand. On the other hand, the rear part is born from a rise from the side, which falls back towards the taillights.

Finally, the design of the wheels has five spokes that start from the symbol of the brand. Behind them can be seen the brake discs and calipers, which gives a very attractive mechanical appearance. Of course, the tires that surround these rims have a fairly low profile that can affect handling.

The details of the interior of the Z4

The interior design maintains the usual BMW elegance. You can find details adorned with metallic paint that is fused with leather elements. This contrast in terms of color tones brings a very attractive look to the interior, with a fairly well-chosen cast.

Next is the six-speed lever, which is engraved with the M logo, which can also be found on the steering wheel.

Next to this lever are the driving mode selectors and the iDrive system activator . With this option you can enjoy the comfort of the navigation system.

In terms of climate settings, the Z4 has a set of dials on the center console to control heating and air conditioning options.

The Z4’s engine

Once contact is made, the pilot will be able to enjoy a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters. The sound of its maximum 184 hp of power at 5,000 rpm is conducted through the exhaust line to the double exhaust duct.

The engine noise is soft and not too conspicuous, allowing you to achieve an attractive ‘tune’ without the sound becoming annoying or unpleasant.

There are also variants with 245, 306 and 340 hp that provide better driving in overtaking, where the 184 hp model can fall a bit short. These more powerful options provide a nimble response and some very fun sensations during the journey.

In terms of consumption, efficient driving can adjust consumption to the 6.7 liters per 100 km that BMW promises on road driving. The circulation by city increases the cost until the 10 liters to the 100 km.

The price range

As you might expect, the BMW Z4 is not a cheap car. The price of its lower power model started at 43,600 euros, and is growing as variants of higher ranges are chosen.

The 245 hp option had a base price of 50,700 euros, while the 306 hp option started at 55,800 euros. Finally, the more powerful variant has a price that grows to 69,000 euros.

With this model, BMW offers a sports car that gives the driver a fun ride above all else. Of course, it must be taken into account that the price is high and it is a two-seater car, with the limitations of space and comfort that this entails.
