Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

The first model on Jason Statham’s car list is the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a grand tourer developed by Ferrari and officially unveiled on February 29, 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show.

This model received the Auto Bild Design Awards and the Best Supercar and Luxury Car award, awarded by the British magazine The Sunday Times Driving . In its mechanics it has a V12 engine with 6,262 cc of displacement, with a direct injection system of fuel at 200 bars of pressure.

Its characteristics allow this supercar to reach a maximum power of an incredible 740 hp at 8,250 rpm.  Thus, the F12 Berlinetta achieves a record in aspirated engines, and with this figure the Berlinetta is one of the most spectacular models in the Ferrari range.

Furthermore, it can reach a maximum torque of 690 Nm, of which 80% is already available at just 2,500 rpm. On the other hand, its amazing mechanics is accompanied by a usual high consumption. Specifically, this Ferrari has an average consumption of more than 15 l / 100 km.

Lamborghini Murcielago

Continuing with the actor’s collection, among his models can be found a Lamborghini Murcielago. This supercar has been developed at the Sant’Agata Bolognese facilities.

It is a two-seater vehicle with both coupe and convertible bodies. The opening of the doors is scissor-type, common in other models of the Italian brand, and also called Lamborghini Style Doors.

Also, due to his name, this was the model chosen for Bruce Wayne, the character played by Christian Bale in the movies Batman Begins and The Dark Knight .

Its mechanics are composed of a 12-cylinder engine arranged in a V at 60º, and it  reaches 580 CV of power at 7,500 rpm, with a torque of 66.3 kgm at 5,400 rpm. As is customary in the brand’s models for 30 years, the engine is located in a longitudinal central position, with the transmission located at the front.

On the other hand, the gearbox is an automatic type with 6 gears, which is a pioneer among Lamborghini models. The structure of the model consists of a frame of high resistance steel tubes, reinforced with steel plates and carbon fiber.

Jaguar E-Type

How could it be otherwise, the British actor has one of the most classic models developed in his country. The Jaguar E-Type is a British-made sports car launched between 1961 and 1975.

The E-Type arrived on the market with the difficult mission of replacing the successful XK120, XK140 and XK150, with two types of bodywork: roadster and coupe. Still, the extensive aerodynamic knowledge of its developers made the E-Type live up to expectations.

The interior of the E-Type is the epitome of sporty luxury, with leather seats, a wooden steering wheel and an arsenal of instruments and rocker switches. On the other hand, the sculptural nose and protruding hood of the E-Type remain one of the most impressive on the automotive scene.

The air intake on the engine hood is not a mere decoration, but contributes to improving the cooling and efficiency of the model. This was included because early E-Type models overheated when exposed to hot weather.

From this model, Jaguar’s sporting heritage shaped its road vehicles during the projects of the following decades. So it’s no wonder that Jason Statham’s cars include this classic example of English luxury.
